Panorama Near the Spring Behind the Scenes
Nearing the big spring, a booth gives shelter from the wind to rotating teams of volunteer greeters.
Here the guests are counted.  They numbered  nearly 20,000 this year.

Just past the booth is this tribute to the victims of war and terrorism,
particularly of the World Trade Center disaster.

This footbridge was featured in the page on the entrance, for it can be reached on foot from the entrance.
The lights seen through the opening are in the traffic circle just next to the spring.
The manger, the visiting Three Kings, the Holy Family, and the animals of the Inn are here pictured.
At the spring, six poinsettias, a wrapped tree, and the observation deck
All six, and reflections of three, show better in this shot.

Four poinsettias are shown at the spring, three of which are reflected in the water - the fourth is too far back.

The famous big spring of West Texas lit up for Christmas!
(This picture contributed by Dr. Barry Rosson, a Big Spring native, now in Nebraska.)

A covered pavilion just west of the spring is guarded by the Toy Soldiers.
Santa's sleight is represented along the side of the structure.

This Snowman, Snow-woman, and Snow-kid are near the pavilion.

The crossed candy canes stand in a section of school greeting boards near the Toy Soldiers.
The cards themselves are best seen in daylight on the "Behind the Scenes" page.
