Announcement Letter
Hello all you out there,!!!
The big one is coming up, and the wheels are beginning to roll.
The Class of ’54 will have its 50th Reunion at
Homecoming, 2004. The date has not
been set. We’ll have something
for everyone if you let us know what you want to do.
We’ll begin our festivities on Friday at noon with lunch, followed by
pep rally, game, and reception. Saturday
will be as full as you want it to be with fun, food and fellowship with those
people you haven’t seen in 50 years. We’ll
be sending another letter after the holidays with more specifics.
Here are some things to think about until then:
- Get
your copy of Ken Briden’s book now.
It is well worth the read. Might
take an hour or so, but then, hey, you’ll be glad you took the time.
Ken has given us a superb service with his time, talent, energy and
perseverance. There has not
been another class to have such complete biographical sketches of
classmates. The reading is fun,
poignant, sad, insightful, and happy – all real life stuff.
I guarantee it will get you excited about visiting with those kids
you knew way back then. Makes
one proud to be a part of such a rich, relatively innocent (?) time period. Clip the order blank from the letter and send with your
check to Ken now.
- Thanks
to Daury & Ken for hours of labor in getting a corrected
database. If any of your
information has changed in the last six months, you would be doing all of us
– including yourself – a favor by letting Daury know.
If you are willing, able and responsive to letting us contact you by
e-mail it would be easier on the post office, expenses and manual labor.

we lucky? Later, we will have a
link from the bshsalumni.com website. So start sending Daury your old or new
pictures that you want on the website, and log on often to keep up with the
changes. We feel this
will be a great way to stay in touch and swap ideas. Also use the http://bshsalumni.com website.
You will enjoy seeing the pictures of several different classes, plus
pictures of the 1953 football team reunion.
The pictures are great. Also,
we need to know if it is okay with all of you if we include your name,
address, telephone number and email address, if you have one, on a page at
our web site. Hopefully, this
will make it easier for us all to stay in touch.
If something was incorrect on the label of your letter but you got it
anyway, tell Daury so it can be fixed on the database. We might not be so lucky next time.
- Find
some pictures of yourself or your chums and send them to Daury.
- We
are dedicated to remembering those in our class who have passed on.
If you have information about a classmate – especially an obituary
- please let Daury know.
